#101 (of 365) "Catalina Fight Song" Joyce Manor

The shortest song on this countdown, this blast of pure punk clocks in at only 65 seconds. (Joyce Manor actually have 4 of the shortest 7 songs on this list, which makes sense). And every time I hear it--whether it's live (I've seen JM 15-20 times over the past decade) or just in my car or in my room, I kind of stop everything and lose my mind. I'm currently writing a new novel that features a newly formed punk band and the lyrics I came up with bear a striking resemblance to these below. Sunken city by ocean is just a signal to me to lose my shit and rock the fuck out like I'm fifteen again.
