#150 (of 365) "Ghost" Neutral Milk Hotel

We're here. Finally. Over a year since I started this countdown that I expected to be complete by the end of 2025 and we're only just reaching the top 150. So I'm assuming this will continue through all of 2026. I'm not sure why I started this, but it's enjoyable for me to write about these songs that mean so much to me and I hope for anyone who happens to be reading, it's also enjoyable for you too.

This video was taken at one of my favorite concert venues in Brooklyn - the now defunct Knitting Factory, which was on Metropolitan Avenue in Williamsburg, and when I first moved to the area in 2013, I spent so many days and nights in that space, so much so that I assumed it wouldn't be long before I moved there. Other life events intervened (my boyfriend became my partner and was not in any way shape or form considering a move to Brooklyn) and Williamsburg got super expensive and all the cool things I used to do there I don't really do there anymore (I spend my time further out at smaller venues in Bushwick or Greenpoint). Anyway, this video is from 1998, which was the year the album came out and 15 years before I moved to a short PATH train/L train combo from Brooklyn, but man if I lived there then...
