#151 (of 365) "Six Days at the Bottom of the Ocean" Explosions in The Sky

This is the 2nd highest ranking song of one of my favorite bands. One of the only post-rock bands on this list who NEVER have lyrics in all of their catalog (as far as I remember), unlike Mogwai--who occasionally sing--or Godspeed!, who mix in spoken word in their songs. And it's still amazing to me how they can render so much emotional brilliance in what is, quite simply, just guitars and drums. That's it. Brilliant.
