#162 (of 365) "Shell" Valley Palace

Valley Palace is (was?) a solo project by Nathan Taylor of Fresno, CA, who released a bunch of singles and one EP from 2020-2023 then stopped recording under that moniker. That's the full extent of what I know about him and his music, but two of his first four post singles on Bandcamp are this song and a song that ends up much higher on this list. Neither appear on the EP that came out after the singles. Valley Palace could possibly be my favorite artist ever, based on the ratio of songs recorded vs. songs that ended up in my top 200 favorite songs ever. Unfortunately, it appears he's not recording anymore (nothing since "Back Porch" in February 2023). But this is an amazing, amazing song. Please have a listen.
