#164 (of 365) "Letting Go" The Rural Alberta Advantage

The RAA formed in 2005 and are still active, but have only released five albums in 20 years, which is sparse output to say the least. That might be why each album has held several musical gems, including this slow-paced closer off their fourth full-length, released in 2017.

It's time to let you go
In the dark, I'm waiting in the cold, you know
Full night drive's pretty far
Then again, pretty close

It's time to let you go
The fire's for the lies you never want to know
But we know
And the marks on the walls
I can sense some fire getting close
In the lonely night
Fire's getting low, you don't really know
Or do you though?

Read the braille on the aching skies
Feverish dreams needing cyclical thoughts
You'll be somewhat close to those
Are we defined by blood
To tear the raging skies
I was never one to get a lasting cut!
Though it's hard to know
