#187 (of 365) "Headache" Frank Black

While I discovered the Pixies first ("Here Comes Your Man" was nothing if not ubiquitous on MTV / alternative radio in 1989), it was really Frank Black as a solo artist in the early 90s who I loved most at the time and I was pretty obsessed with Teenager of the Year and it's follow-ups through the 90s. I lost interest as my love for indie rock blossomed in the early 2000s so this is the only one of his great solo songs to make this list but it did (oddly) beat out all the Pixies tracks, FWIW.
