#201 (of 365) "Monheim" Godspeed You! Black Emperor

Off the seminal 2000 masterpiece Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas to Heaven, this song is the centerpiece of "Sleep", the third track of the four ~20 minute movements that make up the double-album and it is a slow-build like most of their music, which explodes in the second act to truly magical heights. I almost forgot how much I loved this song until I listened again in preparation for this countdown and then wondered why it wasn't higher on the list. It should be higher. But here it is in all its glory.
