#229 (of 365) "Tractor Rape Chain" Guided by Voices

Bee Thousand, the legendary 1994 indie rock classic released by math teacher cum heavy-drinking band leader Bob Pollard, was recorded on 4-tracks and other primitive recording devices in band members' basements and consisted largely of re-recorded versions of unused songs from the previous decade of the band's existence. And it of course, became a massive (in indie rock world) success and propelled Pollard to three decades of GBV recordings and touring. So many great songs appear on the album--most of them in the 2-minutes or less category--"Awful Bliss", "Gold Star for Robot Boy", "I Am a Scientist", "The Goldheart Mountaintop Queen Directory", "Echos Myron"--but only one, oddly, made this chart.
