#244 (of 365) "Gift of the Magi 2: Return of the Magi" AJJ

Yeah, so Knife Man was released in 2011 under the moniker Andrew Jackson Jihad. Years later, Sean Bonnette recognized that both parts of his sort of solo band name were problematic and just became AJJ. This caused issues with the algorithm on Apple Music and I assumed the band that band the Knife Man songs I had adored was gone. After (re-)discovering AJJ as Andrew Jackson Jihad right before Covid, the band (and Bonnette) have been one of my favorite recording artists for this decade of the 2020s. I'm sure I've discussed how necessary and vital Bonnette's Instagram Live's were during the first few months of Covid and I am forever in debt. They're also amazing live and while their newer work has multiple gems, some of their best stuff still comes from Knife Man, including this modern take on the Gift of the Magi parable.
