#247 (of 365) "Wake Up" Arcade Fire

Still a great album, even though the band has changed significantly (for the worse) since Funeral. The album was not only my favorite album the year it came out (20 years ago now :( -- 2004), but also became the seminal soundtrack to the very first version of my (eventually) first published novel I Will Be Okay. That novel started out as "Us Kids Know" - the infamous line from "No Cars Go" that was the spirit of that first attempt, a grand plan by Mateo and Stick to sneak into an Arcade Fire concert at the Bowery Ballroom. Except Mateo had a different name then, and wasn't influenced by my Puerto Rican second family. Anyway, this is the lowest of three songs from the album that have made the chart. Watching the live video still touches me.
