#285 (of 365) "A.M. 180" Grandaddy

After I finish this grand experiment of posting one of my favorite songs every day for 365 days, perhaps in 2026 I will post one of my favorite movies every day for a full year (unlikely but maybe?) If that happens, you will not find 28 Days Later until Christmas time because it's one of my top 5 favorite movies of all time. The next sequel in coming this summer, and I cannot wait, but one of the indelible moments of the original is the "pause" in the insanely high compulsive tension for the supermarket shopping scene, soundtracked by one of the great Grandaddy songs of all time. And here's the thing, when I watched 28 Days Later, I already knew Grandaddy, and I already owned Under the Western Freeway, but "AM 180" was not, in fact, one of my favorites of theirs. But then I bought the 28 Days Later soundtrack--so in love with the movie, and also yes, I said "bought" because back then you would buy physical CD copies of music (!) and this song just shined even in a great collection of mostly instrumental music from the movie. And here it is, some 20 years later, on my list of favorite music of all time.
