#299 (of 365) "Tell You About My Job" The Radio Dept.

This is the 2nd of 4 songs from The Radio Dept. that made the list. The Swedish indie pop group has been making music for over two decades now, never made it big, but have been a consistent part of my playlist for the longest time--both during their initial run of records in the 2000s then in more recent years, as the type of music they play--jangly pop with catchy beats and languorous rhythms exactly fits the type of music I've been into in recent years. It's a departure from the more lyric-based music I used to prefer, which is interesting, to me at least. For instance, this song--which I've played nonstop for the past half decade--basically just says "If I want to tell about my job" a few times and the rest is music. I'm not even sure that's what he's saying. It's just--wonderful, the music. Doesn't even have a proper video or live performance, but take a listen.
