#328 (of 365) "Truck" The Octopus Project

The Octopus Project were an intriguingly talented 2000s era band that produced a bunch of (mostly) instrumental tracks with an insane amount of energy and catchiness but I think they couldn't sustain the momentum beyond their first few albums. Hello, Avalanche was their third release, in 2007, and is pretty much a perfect album, just great tracks throughout, from "Bees Been Struggling" through to the amazing sung "Queen" (very few of their songs have singing). But the standout for me always was the 2-minute 2nd track of rushing instrumentals, "Truck." In the past decade, the band has shifted to scoring films, over 6 soundtracks to date, which is awesome for them, even as they're no longer putting out the brilliance of Hello, Avalanche. This is their only song on the countdown.
