#352 (of 365) "Can't Hardly Wait" The Replacements

Ah, the Replacements. I could write a thousand words but don't have time this morning. This is off of Pleased to Meet Me, circa 1987, and was the second Mats album I owned. I got to see them live at Rutgers in 1990, maybe '91, which had to be one of their last tours, as they broke up not long after, Paul Westerberg enjoying some minor success as a solo artist, and then they kind of disappeared as a band. Which is okay. All their albums didn't have great songs all the way through, but the ones that hit, hit me hard, even the more shambolic rockers. Just a great '80s indie/alternative band that maybe didn't get the success they deserved, but I'm not sure mainstream would have ever been for them. This is one of seven songs of theirs on the countdown.
