#356 (0f 365) "People Who Died" Jim Carroll Band

I only knew of this song and the singer himself because of The Basketball Diaries, a heroin-addiction movie from the 90s in which skinny teenage Leo DiCaprio attempted to portray a budding basketball star (and addict) and let's just say he pulled off the addiction a lot better than athletics. It's a great song, and according to Wikipedia, the novel that the movie was based on was released in 1978 and the album Catholic Boy came out in 1980. So it's the 2nd oldest song on this chart so far and it still holds up.
