#68 (of 365) "Bye Bye Bye" Plants and Animals

Canada's Plants and Animals are incredible band. They have a few of the greatest indie rock songs ever created. And the rest of their catalog is shockingly meh. I don't quite get it. How they can come together for such amazing music and then the rest of their stuff is so unmemorable. Alas I kind of don't know if they are still even making music but when this came out, right in the absolute peak of legendary indie rock heroes like Wolf Parade or Okkervil River, it was my favorite song of the year. And remains one of the greatest indie rock songs ever made. Light years better than whatever boy band made an execrable pop track of the same name.
