#81 (of 365) "Drag" Day Wave

Okay. This song is my life. Or the feeling of the greatest feeling of my life. To me, this song is driving from the airport or hotel along Manhattan Beach Boulevard, toward the beach, passing by the middle school on the right as the hill crests above and as you clear the peak, you get that beautiful framed view of the Pacific Ocean beyond downtown Manhattan Beach. I've done the "first time in Manhattan Beach" this trip probably 30 or 40 times since 2013, the first time I visited, and I don't know why it moves me so. I don't know why this particular downtown and its breezy vibe combined with pristine beaches, beautiful water (mostly), the boardwalk and the volleyball courts, the bars and coffee shops, the Vons or the convenience store closer to the beach, Culture Brewing, the long departed Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf shop (now a Blue Bottle coffee). But it's beautiful to me, and I still might move there, as I've talked about for 13 years now. And this song, this particular track from this particular artist, which came out in 2015 and I heard for the first time while visiting Manhattan Beach then. I cue it up and play it every time I take that drive and crest the hill on Manhattan Beach Boulevard facing the Pacific Ocean. And every time it gives me chills.
