#99 (of 365) "Dear Sons and Daughters of Hungry Ghosts" Wolf Parade

I always say it's in god's hands but god doesn't always have the best goddamn plans does he?

Yeah, those are the opening lines of one of the best songs ever made by Wolf Parade, which is saying a lot. This comes off their debut album, Apologies to the Queen Mary, which snagged a total of six (6!) spots on this list, the most of any album ever recorded by any musician. Pretty impressive stuff. Is it the best album ever recorded? I mean, only one other album has more than 3 songs on this countdown (Modest Mouse's Lonesome Crowded West) and that only has 4. I've long considered Neutral Milk Hotel's In the Aeroplane over the Sea as the greatest musical album accomplishment, for many reasons, but it didn't land 6 songs on my all-time greatest songs list. Pretty fucking incredible stuff. We've seen 5 of the 6 at this point on the chart but (spoiler alert) we'll have to wait quite a bit longer for the 6th one.
